LCA & LUCT Kick Off Cybersecurity Awareness Month

The Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA), in collaboration with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), kicked off Cybersecurity Awareness Month with a vibrant Fun Walk held on Friday, starting from the LCA headquarters and ending at the LUCT campus.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month, observed annually in October, aims to raise public awareness about cybersecurity while providing practical tips to help individuals and organizations protect themselves from cyber threats and stay safe online.

As part of the event, the LCA Cyber Team (Ls ComCSIRT) delivered an engaging practical presentation and live simulations of real-world cyberattacks, demonstrating how common threats unfold and how to detect and mitigate them in real time. The interactive session provided participants with valuable insights into digital hygiene and the importance of cybersecurity vigilance.

The day also featured the official launch of the LUCT Cyber Squad, a group of Information and Technology students dedicated to sharpening their cybersecurity skills and promoting awareness through various initiatives both on and off campus.
