Our Mandate
The Ls ComCSIRT (the Team), established by the Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA), is the designated computer incident response team for the communications sector in Lesotho. The Team’s mandate is to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of the communications sector by delivering specialized incident response services, conducting threat intelligence activities and implementing proactive security measures.
The Ls ComCSIRT is responsible for coordinating and managing the detection, analysis, mitigation, and recovery from cybersecurity incidents that impact the sector’s critical infrastructure. Serving as the central point of contact for incident reporting, it facilitates information sharing among stakeholders and ensures adherence to relevant legal, regulatory and industry standards.
The mandate of Ls ComCSIRT has been laid down under Section 4(e) of the Communications Act, No. 4 of 2012, which mandates LCA to protect and promote the interests of consumers and regulated entities by maintaining the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of communication services.

Our Mission
Lesotho Communications Computer Security Incident Response Team has been established to manage incidents related to computer and network security that may affect its constituency. This applies in the case where the constituents are targeted or serve as sources or intermediaries for such incidents.
The Team's mission is the prevention, detection, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents. Additionally, the Team serves in an advisory role, providing specialised guidance to the Heads of IT and/or Security within its constituency.
